Generating one of Northern Ontario’s most successful recruitment Campaigns
A collaborative marketing partnership among six northern Ontario colleges—Confederation, Sault, Boréal, Cambrian, Canadore, and Northern—sought to increase student enrolment from Southern Ontario, with a particular focus on the Greater Toronto Area. TWG Communications was selected to lead the Study North Initiative (SNI), managing all creative and strategic direction. Extensive focus group research and segmentation analysis conducted with Environics Analytics revealed a significant lack of awareness among the target audience. In response, TWG launched a multifaceted marketing campaign and deployed a dedicated recruitment team in the GTA to engage students, parents, guidance counsellors, and other influencers. The campaign drove over 600 new student enrolments and contributed more than $32 million to the Northern Ontario economy.
